Asschatt Stables was founded in 1988, with the purpose to breed a sound and beautiful miniature horse.

In 1990 the first stallion from England was purchased and following on, our first American stallion, Dent Painted Eagle, the best products of these stallions have been the foundation of Asschatt Stables held on for breeding.

At our stables the care for the horses is our first priority, all horses are vaccinated on a yearly basis.

Our horses are being sold all over Europe and we are proud to say that customers come back time after time. Besides a good exterior and movement, we also breed colour, for instance Pie-Bald, Skew-Bald, Appaloosa and Overo.

In 1993 the owner Tineke Varkevisser was one of the founders of the Dutch Miniature Horse Society to be able to register the miniature horse in Europe. In 2009 over 10.000 registrations have been noted by the society NMPRS.
